About

BUILD India is a sister organization of BUILD.  BUILD India utilizes the skills of

international Volunteers to support BUILD’s ongoing projects in the tsunami affected

villages of Karaikal and Nagapattinam district.

BUILD India also undertakes its own community projects utilizing a participation

fee donated by volunteers and through independent fundraising.

Aim

To implement effective, sustainable and creative community projects, with

the help of international volunteers, in the areas of education, housing and

community development.

Objectives

· To work closely with local communities to ensure the provision of suitable

· and appropriate community programs.

· To assist with and enhance the ongoing education and development

· of tsunami affected children.

·

· To assist with the re-housing of those left displaced by the tsunami.

·

· To effectively utilize the valuable skills and experience international

· volunteers can offer.

·

· To promote cultural understanding and respect between different

· nationalities and cultures.

· To continually network with overseas partners to find new and

· innovative ways of utilizing   international volunteers to maximum effect.
